"Military Picture Contest" calls upon the troops to send in their best photos taken from overseas for a chance to win a round-trip airline ticket while they are home for the holidays.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) December 6, 2005 -- Cell Journalist, a unique internet service designed to connect citizen journalists with the media announced today that it will host a contest for the U.S. soldiers serving overseas. The “Military Picture Contest” calls upon the troops to send in their best photos taken from overseas for a chance to win a round-trip airline ticket while they are home for the holidays.

“Right now it is impossible not to think about our troops overseas,” said Parker Polidor, CEO of Cell Journalist. “With the Military Picture Contest, Cell Journalist hopes to help boost morale by offering a chance for soldiers to come home and visit their families, while also facilitating an opportunity for media outlets to get unique images for their ongoing coverage.”

“Images of war captivate us all,” said Polidor. “However, most of what we’re seeing right now comes through a filter, as images are hand-picked to fit the spin of whatever story they accompany.” “Armed with thousands of military personnel, who see war from a perspective that cannot be manipulated, Cell Journalist will provide a real, gripping, and at times harsh, view of the war overseas.”

To enter the Military Picture Contest, soldiers simply signup for free at www.militarycontest.celljournalist.com, and submit their photos. All contest entries must be received by December 21st, 2005. A round-trip airline ticket will be awarded for the top entry, second place will receive Apple’s new Ipod nano, and third place will receive a $100 calling card. Photos can be viewed at www.militarycontest.blogspot.com
