Maxitech.biz: Innovative London UK Computer Recycling Business Scoops Top Environmental Award

ISO 14001:2004 Certified computer recycling solutions provided for the problem of redundant computers in London and UK by maxitech.biz www.maxitech.biz

(PRWEB) December 12, 2005 --The award recognizes the firm’s environmental programme, commitment to sustainability and zero per cent landfill policy. Maxitech provides an ethical and practical solution for redundant computers.

Maxitech boss Peter Paduh said: “I’m thrilled because the ISO 14001 recognises the way we put green issues at the forefront of our agenda. When we take decisions in the boardroom we are concerned as much about their impacts on the environment as we are about profit.

“We live in a throw away society where the opportunities afforded by old electrical equipment are often ignored. At Maxitech we recycle that equipment and bring it back into use for schools, charities and community groups.”

Since it was launched in 2003, Maxitech has provided more than 100 training opportunities for unemployed and underprivileged people from its London-base.

With its planned expansion into Hornsey, in Haringey, North London, 200 people a year will benefit from the social inclusion programme Maxitech will offer.

Mr Paduh said: “We aim to give something back to the local community. I came to England as a 15-year-old refugee myself so I know first hand that a little bit of support can make an amazing difference to people’s lives.”

As well as the ISO 14001, Maxitech was also awarded the ISO 9001, which is held by only three per cent of UK businesses and recognises investment in people, training, and high quality customer service.
Last month Maxitech won the cleanest and most environmentally friendly business at the Better Haringey Awards.

Mr Paduh scooped Young Business Person of the Year at the Chamber of Commerce’s London Business awards 2005. The 28-year-old, originally from the Balkans, also picked up the London Day Award certificate from Mayor Ken Livingstone for his “outstanding contribution to life in London.”
