In a quest to build a world amateur poker tour, the Small Town Poker Tour visits sites in Canada.

(PRWEB) December 12, 2005 Las Vegas NV USA -- The Small Town Poker Tour announced today they have made visits to several sites in Canada.

Mark Fracalossi executive producer and creator of the tour visited possible sites. "We spent a few days traveling from Saskatoon to Prince Albert and a few stops between," Fracalossi said. "I was a guest of the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA), and visited a few of their casinos.

The Small Town Poker Tour is the world's largest amateur poker tour, which plans tours in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. The tours will be filmed for television and shown worldwide. The tour is unique in many aspects focusing on unique locations, characters and donating money raised from the tour to local charities.

The Small Town Poker Tour is as simple as the title states, blending everyday people with the exciting game of Texas Hold'em."The money we raise will stay local, it's a chance for all poker players to come to give something back," Fracalossi stated. All regional winners will come together in a cash and prize filled season finale. "I was happy to see the interest in poker is growing world wide. SIGA CEO Edmund Bellegarde, and his staff were amazing, they truly made me feel at home," Fracalossi added. "The beauty of Saskatchewan would transfer beautifully to film,it is an area rich in history and truly is a wonderful place, I will be back," Fracalossi said. The show will add a new grass roots look to the world's fastest growing card game Texas Hold'em.

The tour is different from all poker on television today. "Our show is unique. The show is a tour of the real poker world," Fracalossi stated. "Our goal is to make this a fund raising machine for the towns we visit," he said. You can find out more about the tour at www.smalltownpokertour.com.
