Fancy yourself as an armchair A&R executive? Do you have what it takes to spot the next Elvis? Well Myhotmusic.com wants You. Fans can post links about great artists they have seen and help launch the next 'global superstar.'

(PRWEB) December 16, 2005 -- Myhotmusic.com seeks to create a virtual a&r dept where music fans spread the word about hot new acts they have discovered using the power of the internet.

The Internet as a marketing tool is fast, cheap, democratic and unrestrained. Fantastic as far as music and entertainment is concerned and has now proven itself to be the launching pad for new music from both new and established acts.

Take for example Nizlopi whose song JCB, currently number one in the UK and a serious contender for the coveted Christmas number one spot. With it's fantastic video and laid back groove to it, JCB rapidly spread across the internet and in just a few months has risen to the top spot of the UK charts.

Or how about Orson a band who were totally ignored in the US until a rave review on industry messageboard velvetrope, got picked up by UK website www.tipsheet.co.uk and within a year the band has now been offered a lucrative record deal and a publishing deal by a major label.

With this in mind www.myhotmusic.com now urges music fans to join it's 'virtual a&r department'. Fans can post their favourite artist's latest release, review it and share it with the rest of the world. Myhotmusic DJs will listen to all the music tips emailed to the site and, subject to a few housekeeping rules, will post them online.

Furthermore breakout tracks will be added to the myhotmusic playlist which is being webcasted on p2p radio network www.mercora.com, and shall be recommended to the leading music industry boards, all for free.

"We believe that sharing music for free is a vital method of promoting an artist. Of course it should be done legally and in a manner that will benefit the artists and their labels. That's why at www.myhotmusic.com we will only post music links that link back to the artists' own web sites. We are also fans of legal p2p radio as it offer fans a way to share music for free, legally. It's a win win situation for everyone" DJ KZ.

One of the main benefits of myhotmusic.com, is cost. With a hot track, artists and labels no longer have to spend thousands of dollars just to market test a track. Now it is possible to just set up a website, post your music online and then send a link to www.myhotmusic.com who will help spread the word across the Internet.

Myhotmusic is not just set up for unsigned and new artists. Even established bands can benefit from a genuine word of mouth marketing campaign kicked off by fans, artists themselves or managers.

It's now time for www.myhotmusic.com "Show me yours and I will show you mine".
