Belleville, IL (PR WEB) December 21, 2005 – MonsterCommerce CEO Stephanie Leffler was named a Finalist Wednesday, December 14, in the Best Young Entrepreneur category in the 2005 (2nd annual) Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs.

The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs is an international awards competition recognizing the accomplishments of women executives and business owners. “Stephanie’s work is certainly deserving of this recognition. She is an excellent role model for women in business and an amazing leader for MonsterCommerce,” said Ryan Noble, president of MonsterCommerce.

More than 470 entries were submitted for consideration in over 40 categories, including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Best Young Entrepreneur, Best New Product and Mentor of the Year. Leffler was named as a Finalist in the category for Best Young Entrepreneur.

“It is an honor to be recognized alongside so many bright, outstanding young women. This is a great program that encourages women to stand tall and lead in the business world. I am proud to be associated with the Stevies,” said Leffler.

Leffler, 27, is a graduate of Washington and Lee University's Williams School of Commerce and was featured in the St. Louis Business Journal’s special “30 Under 30” profile of the most dynamic young entrepreneurs in the St. Louis area. Leffler was a speaker at the WebmasterWorld Pubcon Expo in Las Vegas and speaks regularly on
successful e-commerce tactics at the popular Search Engine Strategies trade shows.

Leffler and MonsterCommerce president Ryan Noble led the company to be named St. Louis’ fastest growing company by the St. Louis Business Journal, as well as one of St. Louis’ Top 50 Businesses by the St. Louis RCGA (Regional Chamber & Growth Association).

“The winners and Finalists in the 2005 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs comprise the most dynamic women in business today. These executives and entrepreneurs have accomplished innovative and extraordinary things while building their businesses and serving their communities,” said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie Awards. “We congratulate all of them on their achievement.”

The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs are governed by a Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many leading women entrepreneurs and figures in American business, including Carrie Fitzmaurice, publisher for Entrepreneur Media Inc.; Dr. Lisa Krinsky, chairman & president for SFBC International; and Dr. Betty Spence, president of The National Association for Female Executives.

The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.
