The new DSC823e is the most powerful DSC on the market today; its unique sensor design results in an unsurpassed combination of performance features such as flat baselines, very high sensitivity and excellent peak resolution.

(PRWEB) December 23, 2005 -- METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the latest addition to the Thermal Analysis family, the DSC823e. The new DSC823e is the most powerful DSC on the market today; its unique sensor design results in an unsurpassed combination of performance features such as flat baselines, very high sensitivity and excellent peak resolution. Boasting a ceramic sensor the DSC823e is an ideal tool for measurements of thermal effects in research and development and Quality Control environments.

Setting New Standards in DSC

  • High sensitivity - For weak transitions
  • Outstanding resolution - separation of closely lying effects
  • Automation - High sample throughput and efficiency
  • Modular design - Allows future expansion to meet new needs
  • Wide temperature range - from -150 to 700oC in one run

The new DSC can be configured according to the needs of the user. Choose between two innovative MultiSTAR® DSC sensors. The standard FRS5 sensor with 56 thermocouples is used for general purposes. The HSS7 sensor, with its 120 thermocouples, is used for high sensitivity applications. With the optional sample robot, the DSC823e increases the laboratory efficiency dramatically by measuring up to 34 samples fully automatically. “I’m excited about the release of our new DSC823e,” Comments Thermal Analysis Product Manager, Tom Basalik. “This instrument coupled with our STARe software and MultiSTAR sensors provides a major increase in performance in DSC and TMDSC. This is another example of why we feel we are the technology leader in Thermal Analysis.”

The new DSC823e also supports the new METTLER TOLEDO Temperature Modulated software, TOPEM®. TOPEM is the new generation of TMDSC measurements and allows sample properties to be quickly determined with incredible ease over a wide frequency range in simply one measurement.

METTLER TOLEDO is a leading global supplier of precision instruments and is the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of weighing instruments for use in laboratory, industrial and food retailing applications.
