(PRWEB) December 22, 2005 -- Schipul – The Web Marketing Company has raised the curtain on a new Web site for the Houston Theater District, home to Houston’s nine world-class performing arts organizations. The new site, www.houstontheaterdistrict.org, reflects the significant depth and breadth of Houston’s performing arts offerings, with extensive information about each group and performance as well as detailed directory of restaurant, hotel and entertainment options.
Powered by Schipul’s proprietary Tendenci software, the site features an interactive calendar that allows visitors to browse by month and easily determine which organizations have performances on any given day. By clicking on an arts group, date, event title, or venue, patrons can easily explore the schedules of each of the Theater District’s nine performing arts organizations.
“For many of our patrons – especially those visiting from out of town – our organization’s Web site is the initial step of their Houston Theater District experience, so we’ve designed the site to make a powerful and lasting first impression,” said Barry Mandel, president of the Houston Downtown Alliance and Executive Director of the Theater District. “Schipul’s technology solution gives us the ability to more effectively promote the exciting performances taking place throughout the year and enables us to proactively market our performing arts groups.”
Tendenci’s Content Manager makes it easy to keep the Houston Theater District site updated with the latest information on upcoming shows and schedules. Its integrated RSS (Really Simple Syndication) capabilities enable theater lovers to subscribe to automatically receive word of site updates as they happen.
