Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) December 22, 2005 -- In a move that will brighten up the screens of mobile phones this holiday season, GoComics, a leader in wireless content, launched their new online store at www.GoComics.com. Mobile phone users will find an impressive lineup of wallpapers and animations. From hip Manga titles like Princess Ai, to syndicated hits such as Doonesbury, Garfield, FoxTrot, Cathy, Opus, The Boondocks and Ziggy, www.GoComics.com is now the place where comic fans and mobile fanatics come together. Fans can also visit the store directly from their phones by texting “COMIC” to 26642.

With a huge list of popular comic strips, GoComics lets fans put their favorite characters on their phones. GoComics also has an extensive collection of Manga titles including TOKYOPOP’s Princess Ai, @Large and ShutterBox, eigoMANGA and eye-popping indy titles like Megatokyo. However, the GoComics store is more than just comics-it has recently incorporated illustrated art like the hot and sultry girls of Pin-Up Toons, the cool and cute Olivia, and warm and homey Mary Engelbreit scenes. According to GoComics Content Director, Jeff Webber, “Comics are a perfect fit for mobile phones and we are committed to keeping our content fresh and with the times. We want to make it easy for a fan to download the latest The Boondocks wallpaper after seeing Huey and the gang in the paper, online, or on TV.”

The GoComics store represents a key collaboration with mobile channel enabler, m-Qube. Ordering is simple: comic fans select their favorites and content is delivered and billed through their phone carrier - no credit cards or tedious online forms. According to m-Qube’s General Manager, Media, Andy Miller, “Together, m-Qube and GoComics designed and developed a mobile storefront that gives comic fans an easy-to-use way to keep up with their favorite strips on whatever mobile device they carry.”

GoComics CEO, Chris Pizey, says “Comics fans are dedicated to their features and the mobile store brings all of our great content to them while they are on the go.” Pizey continues, “I believe mobile users will continue to look for new and innovative ways to enjoy their favorite strips.”
