Rush Tracking Systems Hosts 2005 Midwest RFID Symposium

Rush Tracking Systems, a leading consulting firm specializing in the integration of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), will host the 2005 Midwest RFID Symposium in Overland Park, Kansas at the Sheraton Convention Center on Thursday, March 3, 2005.

Lenexa, KS (PRWEB) February 2, 2005 -- Rush Tracking Systems designed the Symposium to provide companies implementing or considering RFID projects with a concise, comprehensive review of RFID technologies and their capabilities. Wal-Mart was the leader in requiring its top 300 suppliers to be RFID compliant," says Toby Rush, President of Rush Tracking Systems. Since the Wal-Mart announcement, companies involved in supply chain management in almost every industry have been exploring the potential benefits of an RFID implementation. We wanted to provide a forum for these companies to hear from experts and gain a greater sense of the value of RFID to their operations."

The event will feature presentations from leading RFID experts, as well as end-users such as Boeing and Yellow Roadway. Featured speakers include Ann Grackin, CEO, Chainlink Research; Prasad Putta, CEO, OAT Systems; Toby Rush, President, Rush Tracking Systems; Terry Alderson, Senior RFID Engineer, Matrics and Dr. Dan Deavours, Director of Research, RFID Alliance Lab. The program will also feature an end-user panel of representatives from RFID users Boeing, Yellow Roadway and Continental Disc Corporation.

The RFID Alliance Lab will also host a technology pavilion where attendees can experience hands-on demonstrations of RFID workstations in a simulated industrial environment. The Alliance Lab is a collaborative initiative of the RFID Journal, The University of Kansas Information Technology and Telecommunications Center and Rush Tracking Systems. The Lab evaluates commercially available RFID equipment and produces technical reports to enable companies to make informed decisions on product performance.
