First-ever eComXpo online trade show is designed for the Affiliate Marketing Industry.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- Affiliate marketing, the fast growing world of e-commerce retail selling, is driven by hundreds of thousands of independent entrepreneurs, bloggers, search engine marketing specialists, and thousands of online merchants. Yet the e-commerce world has never had a trade event that united so many independent sellers in one place at one time until the advent of eComXpo, taking place completely online February 17-19, 2005.

The industrys enormous number of participants is one of the most diverse in modern business. Affiliate marketers," as they are called, come in all shapes and sizes, often working from home, moonlighting to build a better life for their families and themselves. Theyre just as likely to be retirees, stay at home moms, teachers, secretaries, and construction workers as they are traditional business professionals. They can be people who are tired of being laid off, or of having to answer to a bad boss. Theyre doing something to control their own destiny, so they dont have to worry if their job is outsourced or is downsized out of existence.

The partnerships we have been able to develop through Affiliate Marketing have been beneficial to the growth and development of our business
The very thing that unites these entrepreneurs – small size, enormous spirit, and moonlighting from a day job, makes eComXpo such a natural fit. These small business owners generally dont have the budget or the time to attend a physical world trade event, but the virtual, online event is simple to attend.

Kathryn Finney is typical of the small entrepreneur thats having big success in e-commerce. "The partnerships we have been able to develop through Affiliate Marketing have been beneficial to the growth and development of our business," said Ms. Finney, CEO of TBF Group, LLC, and Chief Shopping Officer of TheBudgetFashionista.com (http://www.thebudgetfashionista.com).

She continued, "I just wish eComXpo had been around when I started out. This online trade event promises to be an exciting, easily affordable way to learn the basics of Affiliate Marketing and how to incorporate these concepts into the growth strategy of any site. Think of it as a mini MBA in Affiliate Marketing." Ms. Finney helps Internet shoppers find great deals and improve their fashion sense, while keeping to a strict budget. By placing web site links to companies like Lands End and Overstock.com she makes it possible for shoppers to find bargains easily.

Some web sites are using affiliate marketing to supplement their core business. Were in the ticket futures business, helping avid sports fans attend the events they previously could not attend," said Rick Harmon, CEO of TheTicketReserve.com. We quickly discovered we could affordably move beyond the tickets by using affiliate marketing. Now our fans can easily buy team related merchandise, from links on our site. They love it and we love it. Were seeing incremental revenue and providing a service at the same. Its a dream."

J.T. Stephens, Overstock.com's Affiliate Program Manager, noted: "Affiliates serve as an incredibly effective distribution channel because they are intelligent, creative, and expert niche marketers. They have played a huge role in getting Overstock.com on the map. For these reasons, our affiliate program continues to serve as one of the cornerstones of our overall online marketing strategy."

But with an office in their home, their marketplace on their computer, and their business attire sweats and slippers, how do affiliate marketers interact with their peers, gaining insights from the experiences of others and gleaning valuable learning from the leaders in the industry? The answer is eComXpo, the first completely online trade show. Geared to provide a vibrant, educationally focused event to the nearly one million individuals and small companies that drive customers to over 4,000 merchants every day, eComXpo debuts February 17-19.

The three-day online event features hundreds of exhibitors and presenters. Industry luminaries like Declan Dunn of DunnDirect, Gian Fulgoni of Comscore, Doc Searls of IT Garage, John Battelle, and George Garrick of wine.com are presenting. Exhibitors include companies like Overstock, Lands End, Travelocity, Home Depot, 1-800-FLOWERS, Dell, Commission Junction, Linkshare, Peformics, ArriveNet, and many more. The keynote speaker is Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Internet & American Life Project, presenting the Projects most recent findings.
