With all of the Yellow Ribbons around to support our troops they wanted something that shared a similar sentiment for the local Police and Fire Rescue Departments in all of the different communities that they served.
Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) February 10, 2005 -- ASI Communications, Inc, a 23 year old Tempe company that monitors Electronic Security Alarms nationwide, has launched a program to say THANK YOU to local Police Officers and Fire Fighters for their public service and to raise money for related charities.
With all of the Yellow Ribbons around to support our troops they wanted something that shared a similar sentiment for the local Police and Fire Rescue Departments in all of the different communities that they served. The silicone wristbands that are sweeping the nations attention into causes like cancer research and supporting everything from troops to teams was exactly what they needed. Their Dark Blue wristband has the message that reads simply: THANK YOU BLUE 24 – 7 – 365
Kay Zahn, the President/CEO who along with her husband Jim Zahn founded the company that provides the call center response says, For years weve been using the resources of the local Police and Fire departments for the ultimate response to our customers alarm systems. We have sophisticated verification technology in use but it is a fact that when the alarm is real, we expect to be able to call for help. Unfortunately the majority of the time when we call these agencies, they are rolling on false alarms."
Ms.Zahn is a past President (1991-2) of the statewide trade organization, The Arizona Burglar and Fire Alarm Association. Our industry simply wouldnt have developed the way it did without the confidence that we have these local agencies to respond. Not to mention," added Zahn these officers put the lives at risk everyday, simply because it is their job to protect and to serve. We all know they could earn more money in the private sector, but they choose the road less appreciated. The one with more risk."
Zahns own brother and a brother in law are Law Enforcement Officers in the Phoenix metro area, and the company has ex-employees who have moved on to become firefighters and EMTs. Yet even with personal connections it can be very hard to find the words to say thank you to these professionals. The company believes that many people feel the same way and can use the Thank You Blue wristband to do just that.
$1 from the sale of each band is being donated to Police and Fire friendly charities. Other fundraising opportunities are available for groups and non-profit organizations. Check the website at www.ThankYouBlue.org for further details on purchase.
