New Service and Upcoming Product Unveiled At Prestigious DEMO@15 Event
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 13, 2005 -- DEMO Conference, February 14, 2005 – Using emails obtained from the federal investigation of Enron Corp., Audiotrieve®, LLC demonstrated today, at the DEMO@15 conference, how its software can help enterprises reduce their email liability risk. OutBoxer, unveiled today, scans outgoing messages for key risk factors, such as inappropriate content and unauthorized disclosure of personal or secret information.
Email is not confidential, poses a liability risk, and can cause considerable damage to a companys reputation if not handled correctly," said Roger Matus, Audiotrieve chief executive. There have been some high-profile lawsuits based primarily on emails. However, the risk of a hostile work environment and leaked information applies to all companies and non-profits, large and small."
To create OutBoxer, Audiotrieve analyzed more than 500,000 messages written by senior executives and traders at Enron Corp. The company deployed language-based technology adapted from the companys award-winning InBoxer® Anti-Spam filter. The results of the analysis showed that one out of every 25 messages in the Enron database contained inappropriate materials, including pornography, disparaging racial comments, and offensive jokes.
Company founders Roger Matus and Sean True not only showed the results of the study, but also demonstrated the new OutBoxer software, designed to stop problem emails before they are sent.
If OutBoxer software had been available to Enron a few years ago, many of the harmful messages might not have been sent," Matus said.
Audiotrieve also announced a service that is available immediately to help companies identify the extent and nature of the email risk in their archives. OutBoxer software, designed to help companies to stop problem email at the source, is expected to be available this summer.
