Hollywood Celebrity Auction To Benefit Tsunami Relief Efforts

Desperate housewives signed script - walk on roles in JAG and CSI Miami are among the items to be auctioned

(PRWEB) February 25, 2005 -- Although the Tsunami relief efforts are no longer on our TV screens every day, it is going to take a long time to repair the damage and devastation - both physical and mental. Some Hollywood celebrities have stepped up to the plate to raise cash to support volunteer tsunami relief workers.

A Desperate Housewives signed script is up for grabs. Walk-on roles in the hit shows CSI:Miami and JAG due to the efforts of Catherine Bell and Sofia Milos. John Travolta donated the chaps he wore in Urban Cowboy. Jennifer Aspen of 'Rodney' donated a trip for two to Hollywood with tickets to a tpaing of the show and an opportunity to meet the cast.

Michelle Stafford of the Young and the Restless has arranged a personal tour of the set. Many other celebrity memorabilia from hit shows like That 70s show and Malcolm in the middle is on auction.

The ongoing need for volunteers and tsunami relief funds is staggering. This celebrity auction is in support of the Volunteer Ministers of the Churches of Scientology (VMs), who are well known for their relief work in disaster areas around the world. They were among the first tsunami relief workers to arrive on the scene.

Recognized for their work at Ground Zero after 9/11 and the Florida hurricanes and the devastating fires in Southern California, Volunteer Misnisters leave for South East Asia from churches all over the world each week.

Celebrities are giving this tsunami relief fund auction their full support because they know what it takes to get a team of volunteers operating in a disaster area. The cost of airfares, accommodation and food once in the area, as well as their day-to-day operations has to be met.

Items on this celebrity auction at http://www.somethingcanbedone.com are not normally available to the public.

All funds raised go to assisting volunteers to get to the area and work in the tsunami relief effort.

About Us: The Tsunami Relief Celebrity Auction is organized by concerned members of the public and celebrities who want to lend their support to the effort to help people in the area.
