Jeff Celentano - Film Director, Writer, Actor - Acting Workshops-Actors Showcase - Writing Workshops

Enrollment now taking place for workshops taught by Film Director, Jeff Celentano, at The Performers Academy, Orange County's Premier Academy for Performing Arts. Acting Workshops, Actor's Showcase and Writing Workshops for Children, Teens, and Adults

(PRWEB) March 4, 2005 -- Jeff Celentano has partnered with The Performer's Academy, located in Laguna Woods (Hills) California, by accepting the position of Executive Director of the Drama Program at the academy.

A workshop with Jeff is a very special experience. He comes prepared with hundreds of scenes that are handpicked for each actor based on their age, personalities and acting ability. Watching his classes perform their scenes is a good as watching a major feature - his students are becoming that good.

He has a unique teaching style and ability to inspire his students to do amazing work. From his youngest group of 5 year olds to his adult Master's Class, Jeff has been inspiring and creating a new group of performers right here in Orange County.

Jeff's work is based on the teachings of famed New York acting coach Stanford Meisner, who taught actors like Robert Duvall, Robert Di Niro, Jessica Lange and many others.

Jeff studied with Mr. Meisner in New York and has successfully starred and worked in over 22 feature films, 60 commercials and many television series. He's won 5 awards including "Best Director" for his film "GUNSHY" starring Diane Lane and William Peterson, from the hit TV series, CSI.

Jeff met with immediate success when he turned to directing in 1992. He staged South Africa's award-winning play "Soweto's Burning" in Los Angeles where his production attracted awards as well as being named the Los Angeles Times "Pick of the Week" for three weeks running.

Celentano's first film, the short, "Dickwad", won both the "Best Original Comedy" award at the Houston International Film Festival and the Silver Award at the Philadelphia International Film Festival in 1994.

Jeff also directed Willaim Bladwin in "primary Suspect", wrote and directed "Under the Hula Moon" starring Stephen Baldwin, Emily Lloyd and Chris Penn. His recent release entitled "Moscow Heat" stars Michael York, Adriam Paul and was shot entirely in Russia.

Jeff has signed on to direct Soleil Film's "Say It In Russian". Soliel Film has hired Jeff to cdirect the company's feature film. "This marks the beginning of production of the film and we anticipate that we will compete casting by mid-March and be filing in May," according to Producer and Company President, Kenneth Eade, "and we feel that Jeff Celentano will increase our chances of having a commercially successful film." he added.
