CompAmerica Announces the Wonder PC, at $299 (and up) an Amazing Price Breakthrough

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

CompAmerica announces the Wonder PC, starting at $299 and up, the unit sports a choice of Intel 2.4 and AMD 2600+ CPUs, and a broad spectrum of "options" that allows consumers and business users to save while buying an exceptional product.

(PRWEB) March 10, 2005 -- The Wonder PC, newly announced at a starting price of only $299 and up, has something in common with all CompAmerica.com PCs: it's backed by 24x7 tech support and has CompAmerica's standard 5 Year Labor/1 Year Parts Limited Warranty.

The product, which can be reviewed by logging into http://www.compamerica.com and clicking on the Wonder PCs link at the bottom left of the home page, offers a choice of what CompAmerica indicated were

a) The most commonly desired features among all buyers of PCs
b) A choice of both Microsoft Windows XP and 2000, along with Red Hat and Suse Linux operating systems which should make the x86 users happy
c) Very cost effective options, such as a $249 17" Flat Panel LCD Display and a $29 12-in-1 memory card reader.
d) Keyboardless Input, supported, as an option, by the $99 (with system) CompAmerica Digital Memo Pad input device. The Digital Memo not only allows pen input, but can be used for drawings, forms and can store up to 1000 pages within it for mobility purposes.

"For those who hate to type, this feature is the way to go!", stated a Compamerica spokesperson.

Highly expandable, the Wonder PC fills the gap below PCs selling for much more, yet it has the capabilities of PCs up to $1200 in price tag from well known retail outlets.

Complimenting its low cost are a design which offers 6 internal USB 2.0 ports, a choice of 10/100 or Gigabit Ethernet, and Microsoft Office, along with an all in one Fax/Printer/Scanner/Copier by Hewlett Packard at an excellent price. Various other options allow an owner to outfit it like a much higher priced system, without sacrificing anything.

Each Wonder PC also includes support to be optionally configured with CompAmerica's proprietary "VFTA" feature, that automatically backs up all work onto a virtual backup storage system, as you work. VFTA is available for a very cost effective price. When equipped with VFTA, the Wonder PC can sustain a total loss of it's primary Hard Disk Drive, without losing any user data, and can be restarted immediately from it's VFTA backup system, for minimum downtime.

Amazing for such a low price machine!

CompAmerica recently received the ACSA "Engineering Dream" award for 2005 for the Wonder PC with VFTA as "the most reliable PC in the industry", no small accomplishment for a computer that starts out at only $299.
