19 Year Old Cuny Student Brandi Webb Makes Her Debut As Playwright, Director and Producer in Play "Yet To Evolve"

"Yet to Evolve" is a fresh new play about the struggles of a teenage interracial couple. It seems that everyone has a problem with the couple John and Stephanie being together, especially her father, Hulon.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 14, 2005 -- At the age of 19, Cuny student, Brandi Webb has launched her own production company Yet To Evolve Productions. The first project of Yet To Evolve Productions is Yet To Evolve." Yet To Evolve" is a fresh new play about the struggles of a teenage interracial couple and their parents. As the play progresses a deeply buried secret is up-rooted, linking the history of both families. Yet To Evolve" is a family oriented play that encourages people to try to accept those that are different from them and also teaches us that it is healthy to forgive in order to live peacefully.

Ms. Webb wrote the script, cast the actors and is co-starring in this play. It will be staged at the Producers Club, 358 West 44th Street between 8th and 9th avenue. Show dates are March 16,18,19 and March 20th, 2005. Shows are at 7pm all nights. There is an additional 4pm show on March 19th and 20th. General Admission is $20.

Yet To Evolve" has inspired me to believe that people can change. Although we are stubborn at times, we are still human beings and as humans we all have a desire to let the good in us shine at some point in our lives," says Adrienne Moultriez, assistant director of Yet To Evolve".

As an aspiring actress and a skillful writer, Brandi Webb was encouraged by friend, James Sampson, to write a role for herself that would reach out to every audience. I wanted to write something that was deep and that others would be able to relate to. I wanted to write something real and relevant. When I did, family and friends believed in my script and encouraged me to go forth in the production of the play. My staff consists of family. They sponsored this play and have been by my side since the beginning. I will be producing more plays with my family by my side. I named my production company Yet To Evolve because It is the name of my first play and at the age of 19, I still have yet to evolve," sums up Ms. Webb.
