Lonestar and Olivia Newton-John to Perform at Corona's Newest Concert Venue, Stage 1 at Candlewalk

Platinum-recording artists take on 'concerts for a cause' at Corona's new concert venue, Stage 1 at Candlewalk

Corona, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2005 -- For those who live and work in the Inland Empire, the Corona area has lacked one significant element to mark its arrival as a major cosmopolitan community - a state of the art concert facility/entertainment complex to attract national talent. Stage 1 at Candlewalk (2331 Kellogg Avenue) has emerged as Coronas hottest new stadium seating concert venue for worthy causes and will host two multi-platinum national acts for its inaugural benefit concerts; country music mega stars Lonestar (April 17th,2005), and the renowned star of music and film, Olivia Newton-John (April 21st , 2005).

Stage 1 will be donating a large portion of its proceeds to local non-profits. The kick-off concert with Lonestar on April 17th, 2005 at 8 p.m. will benefit Kids Rock Free® at The Fender Center® for the Performing Arts in Corona, CA. Kids Rock Free music education program for children from 7-17 has benefited over 5,000 children from Corona and surrounding communities and still has thousands on the two-year waiting list.

What were trying to ultimately achieve is expansion and growth, states Donna MacDonald, Executive Director of Fender Center for the Performing Arts/Kids Rock Free which currently offers professional caliber performing arts education including piano, guitar, bass guitar, combo band, vocal performance and drums. We conduct classes for 400 kids per week and wed like to be able to build out 10,000 square feet of unfinished space to create future class rooms for another
1,200 kids a week."

Stage 1 opens its doors again with Olivia Newton-John in concert on April 21st, 2005 at 8 p.m. Opening Act, Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, Deborah Liv Johnson performs before Olivia Newton-John hits the stage. The concert beneficiary is The Susan G. Komen Foundation, a global leader in the fight to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment in communities around the world. With a worldwide network, the foundation works through its funding of innovative research and community- based outreach programs.

Stage 1 utilizes the most advanced production available in its state of the art facility which seats 3500. The facility was designed and built from the ground up with one purpose in mind – to present the ultimate audio and visual experience.
