Veteran Acting Coach Cliff Osmond Announces Upcoming Acting Classes and Seminars in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dallas

Cliff Osmond, co-star of Billy Wilder's "Kiss Me Stupid" and "The Fortune Cookie", announces schedule and availability of scene study acting classes in Santa Monica (LA), San Francisco, and Dallas. Weekly scene study classes in Cliff's Santa Monica acting studio begin on March 23-24 and last for five weeks. Two day seminars will be held in San Francisco on April 1st and 2nd and also an additional seminar on April 3rd and 4th while an intensive three day seminar in Dallas is scheduled for April 8-10.

(PRWEB) March 17, 2005 -- Cliff Osmond, a longtime member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, announces schedules and availability of scene study acting classes in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dallas. His long career in Hollywood includes co-starring in two legendary Billy Wilder films, "Kiss Me Stupid" with Dean Martin and Kim Novak and "The Fortune Cookie" with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. He also wrote and directed "The Penitent", a feature motion picture starring Armand Assante and Raul Julia. And Cliff is also a WGA nominated writer for an episode of "The Streets of San Francisco".

Cliff has taught over 20,000 students in his twenty years of teaching acting and most recently was a visting professor of drama and artist in residence at Georgetown University in the fall of 2004 where he directed "A Doll's House" on campus. He has also created a blog at http://cliffosmond.blogspot.com to answer questions about acting and the business of acting.

Cliff's next five week cycle of scene study in the Los Angeles area will be offered on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30pm, Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm, and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm beginning on March 23rd. Week one focuses on scene analysis and cold reading. Students concentrate on rehearsal and taking direction on the second week of classes which culminate in performance and taping in the third week. The fourth week of class, tapes of a student's performance are played back and analyzed. The fifth week of the rotation, an industry guest lecturer, in most cases a Los Angeles based casting director, teaches the class and gives students industry exposure.

Cliff's two day San Francisco seminars will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 1st and 2nd, and also on Monday and Tuesday evenings, April 3rd and 4th. Students will work on two person scenes from films, television, or plays provided in advance. Their work will be taped, played back, and critiqued. On April 1st, the initial session will be from 6:30pm - 10pm and will conclude the follwing day from 10am - 5pm. On April 3rd and 4th, classes will be held from 6:30pm - 10:00pm. Cliff offers a three day weekend intensive acting seminar for his Dallas students on April 8th to 10th. Similar in structure to his Los Angeles and San Francisco classes, the initial session will be from 7pm to 10pm on Friday, April 8th followed by daylong sessions of 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. For those beginning acting in the Los Angeles area, American Conservatory Theatre graduate and Cliff Osmond student Ivan Baccarat teaches newcomers at Cliff's Santa Monica location on Tuesdays from 7:30pm - 10:30pm. Ivan has appeared on "Malcom in the Middle" and in the HBO movie "The Perfumed Garden".
