Practical Programs Announced support for AutoCAD 2006 while adding the ability to generate transmittals in electronic and hard copy format. DataViewer Total Document Management solution adds Electronic Transmittals to AutoCAD 2006.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 28, 2005 -- Practical Programs Announced support for AutoCAD 2006 while adding the ability to generate transmittals in electronic and hard copy format.

Practical Programs involvement with the Autodesk Developer Network has allowed Dv TDM to be prepared for AutoCAD 2006 and ensured no delays for our clients. Accordingly, Dv TDM is now available with full support for AutoCAD 2006.

Dv TDMs Transmittal engine allows users the following benefits;
· Batch conversion of DWG files to Vector based PDF or DWF files for electronic transmission by email.
· Automatic generation of the email including the addition of a transmittal sheet in PDF format.
· The compression of the drawings into a zip file.
· Automatic generation of a transmittal number.
· The ability to review recipient history to see which drawings the recipient received and when.
· The ability to review all companies that received a drawing.
· The ability to compare the version of a drawing sent to the recipient vs. the current version.
· The ability to design custom transmittal forms.
· The ability to create an address book of recipients

The Dv TDM Document Transmittal module is designed to help companies quickly answer a number of questions such as:
1. Was the drawing sent?
2. What version of the drawing was sent?
3. Who was the drawing sent to?
4. Is there a registered transmittal number?
