East Coast's ‘Hidden Jewel to Sponsor Championship Sailing Event
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) March 26, 2005 -- Seabrook Island recently announced their role as Commodore Sponsor (title sponsor) of the 10th Annual Charleston Race Week, the third largest regatta of its kind on the Eastern Seaboard. More than 125 sailboats with crews totaling more than 600 are expected to participate in this years event, which has become one of Charlestons defining events.
The event, officially billed as Seabrook Island Presents Charleston Race Week 2005", is an annual regatta for racing sailboats over 22 feet in length and will take place April 7 -10 in Charleston Harbor. The event is supported heavily by all of the local yacht clubs and the Charleston Ocean Racing Association, comprise of more than 215 members.

Seabrook Island Presents Charleston Race Week 2005" is the premiere sailing event along the Carolina Coast. Over 600 sailors from more than 15 states and from as far away as Ontario, Canada, including notables such as Teddy Turner, son of CNN Founder Ted Turner, will participate in competitive racing over the course of the event.
