Unitimes ‘Staff Coverage Feature Helps Healthcare Organizations with Compliance, Staffing

Automatically calculates number of personnel working during daily segments

Boulder, CO (HRMarketer/PRWeb) April 6, 2005 -- The new Staff Coverage feature for Unitime Systems UNITIME Automated Timekeeping System helps healthcare organizations with compliance, staffing and other labor-management issues. It automatically calculates the number of personnel working during any user-defined time period that divides evenly into 24 hours.

Staff Coverage identifies staffing levels for individual employee classifications (nurses, nursing assistants, aides, etc.) for specific time segments, such as 15, 20 or 30 minutes. The organization uses that information to ensure compliance with state and other labor-staffing requirements. The data also helps the organization optimize staffing levels by comparing, for example, the number of nurse assistants on staff to the number of beds filled at a particular time.

Staffing information is calculated automatically when employees clock in and out of their shifts. Staff Coverage is included in the latest version of UNITIME Automated Timekeeping System at no extra charge.

Staff Coverage gives healthcare organizations a current, easily accessible database on staffing compliance," said Doug Peterman, Unitime Systems president. By automating this process, UNITIME allows these organizations to spend more time on the most important part of their business—their patients."
