Orlando Baez Signs To Pencil "Family Bones" By King Tractor Press About Elderly Serial Killers

King Tractor Press signs artist Orlando Baez to pencil the "Family Bones" comic book. Based on the true story of Ray and Faye Copeland, the couple murdered laborers staying at their Missouri farm while in their late 60s/early 70s.

(PRWEB) April 11, 2005 -- "Family Bones" is adapted from Shawn Granger's screenplay of the same name. Based on actual events, it's the story of the elderly serial killers Ray and Faye Copeland as seen through the eyes of their unwitting nephew who stays with them one summer.

Orlando Baez's art style is very deliberate for the comic book. When asked why he decided to join the team Orlando said "'Family Bones' is a dark & gritty story. It's interesting and real and because of that I want to pencil and feed the story in a rough, scratchy style."

Orlando Baez was chosen to pencil "Family Bones" because of his unique style. "He [Orlando] immediately got the story and how he renders the characters is just amazing. I'd compare it to Egon Schiele or the Aeon Flux cartoon from MTV." Shawn says, "Orlando has a unique ability to convey emotions with his pencil work. The drawings are both delicate and rough. I couldn't be happier that he's bringing my words to life for 'Family Bones'. Orlando is the perfect man for the job."

"I wanted the story to be about what its like to grow up with the family I have. We dont choose our family, but even in the worst cases you can choose to learn from your experiences. The story of 'Family Bones' is fish-out-of-water mixed with coming-of-age" Shawn said, "sometimes you need to bring the skeletons out of the closet."

King Tractor Press will be releasing "Family Bones" in late summer/early fall. Its one of two titles currently announced for their initial fall series. The other is "Innocent", about two killers executing Gods will. King Tractor Press the publishing arm of King Tractor Films, http://www.kingtractorfilms.com.
