Dream-come-true tool suite for .NET developers gets even better.
(PRWEB) April 21, 2005 -- Spices.Net is a tool suite for .NET developers that comes with 5 different modules - Obfuscator, Decompiler, Documenter , Modeler, Investigator and Informer. The software package is already fairly well known among the .NET community, but the new version contains several important additions.
First, Spices.Net now has a new Documenter module. The module considerably improves process of documentation creation and management connected to code, saving developers dozens of hours over the course of project completion. All documents are NDoc compatible, with HtmlHelp and HtmlHelp2 support on its way.
Spices.Decompiler module has also been drastically enhanced to give .NET developer even more ammunition. The module can now completely decompile COM/Interop/Unmanaged statements, unsafe statements and work with inline functions. Another important improvement is addition of a built-in syntax editor with ActiveHints technology. In order to make sure the software works correctly, QA department has performed decompilation tests for over 500 different assemblies.
The Obfuscator module has been upgraded to include enhanced antiILDASM anti-disassembly algorithm that helps developers protect their intellectual property and technological know-how. If an assembly has been compiled with Spices.Net and obfuscated to include the NotDecompile tag, Spices.Decompiler will not be able to decompile it after obfuscation.
Besides that, the Obfuscator module features a number of protection improvements and innovations. Attributes can now be used to control code encryption (string protection), incremental obfuscation has been improved and software watermarking made possible. Importantly, the software works without obfuscation maps. All new obfuscation features (antiILDASM, SoftwareWatermarking, StrongIncrementalObfuscation) have been tested to work error-free with all types of assemblies - managed (C#, VB.Net, Delphi.Net, Asp.Net), CompactFramework and mixed (managed C++).
In order to give a wider audience of .NET developers a chance to see the quality of code generated, the licensing policy has been changed. The evaluation version of Spices.Net 4.5 is now fully functional, limiting obfuscation to random number of assembly members and decompilation to 50% methods, properties and events supported.
Spices.Net is available at http://9rays.net/ for free evaluation. Its possible to both purchase the entire suite or an individual component. Prices range from 192.95 to 792.95 US Dollars.
