DNA Press announces a WRITING COMPETITION open to all high school-aged students for the best interpretive essay about Mr. Ray Cattie's book ARD RIGH: THE SWORD ON THE STONE (ISBN 0-9748765-2-6). Students must write an original interpretive essay entitled ""King Arthur as the archetypal hero: how is he relevant to the 21st century reader?" addressing the plot of the book ARD RIGH: THE SWORD ON THE STONE.

(PRWEB) April 29, 2005 -- DNA Press announces a WRITING COMPETITION open to all high school-aged students for the best interpretive essay about Mr. Ray Cattie's book ARD RIGH: THE SWORD ON THE STONE (ISBN 0-9748765-2-6). Students must write an original interpretive essay entitled ""King Arthur as the archetypal hero: how is he relevant to the 21st century reader?" addressing the plot of the book ARD RIGH: THE SWORD ON THE STONE. Students may choose a specific element of the plot, or the overall plot in general. Essays must be between 250-500 words, and must be signed by the student and the student's sponsoring teacher, authenticating that it is an original work by the student. The essays will be judged by the editors at DNA Press, with the finalists to be judged by Mr. Cattie. Contest rules are available at the following webpage:

First prize will be $100 and the essay will be published as an appendix to the second and future editions of this book. A great acknowledgment for an aspiring writer," explains Mr. Cattie.

Second prize will be $75, and third prize will be $50 - these essays will be published at the DNA Press website http://www.dnapress.com and http://www.amazon.com.

Each of the finalists will receive an autographed copy of ARD RIGH: THE SWORD ON THE STONE, as well as a certificate of achievement signed by the editors and the author himself. In addition to the aforementioned awards, the top three winners will be announced in a Press Release by DNA Press.
