Purchase strengthens Interteks leadership position in the testing and certification of Building Products in North America
CHICAGO, Ill., April 29, 2005 — The ETL SEMKO division of Intertek Group plc (LSE: ITRK), a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, today announces its acquisition of 100 percent of the issued share capital of Omega Point Laboratories, Inc. (OPL), an established industry leader in fire testing of building materials and systems. OPL is based in Elmendorf, Texas near San Antonio.
