Waltham, MA (PRWEB) May 4, 2005 -- The Bentley College McCallum Graduate School of Business was ranked one of the top 10 in New England in the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings of the top business schools; the part-time Master of Business program ranked #19 nationally and is among the top 2 in New England; the Information Systems Program ranked #20 nationally and is in top 3 business schools in New England.

Designed with the Boston area working professional in mind, The McCallum Schools part-time MBA program offers flexibility, choice, and the opportunity to receive credit toward earning a Master of Business degree for prior academic work. Seven courses ensure an understanding of business basics such as statistics, economics, organizational behavior, marketing, operations, accounting and finance. At Bentley, the MBA Required Core courses integrate business and IT to spotlight the role of IT in gaining competitive advantage, improving business processes, leading change, and formulating global strategy. They also include a series of workshops to develop skills in business problem solving and communication, areas highlighted as critical to the new economy by the college's business advisers and recruiters. Students customize their program with a four-course concentration chosen from an array of 15 business disciplines. Those with significant work experience may, in consultation with the MBA program director, opt to forgo a designated concentration.

Bentley's Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) is the most technically advanced program in the information systems discipline program - a proven area of expertise at the college. MSIT students study programming, systems analysis, systems design, telecommunications, and data management -- all in the context of e-business. This focus develops students' expertise in using state-of-the-art tools and methods for building, managing and deploying the enterprise-wide computer applications and data communications that drive e-business.

Graduates of the MSIT program are prepared to excel in positions that involve providing IT solutions, including the roles of project manager, systems architect, information architect, process analyst, and technology architect.

The McCallum Schools breadth of programs -- including 15 concentrations in the Master of Business Administration and seven Master of Science degrees, including Information Technology -- combined with the opportunity to gain deep understanding in these fields, provides a powerful student-centered learning environment. Graduate programs develop students' interpersonal and technical skills -- skill-sets that are key to succeeding in business today. Students draw on first-rate technological resources, including an extensive computing network; an on-site financial Trading Room; use of the leading integrated enterprise software from SAP America; specialized labs for studying accounting systems, marketing, and information design; and research databases and information sources worldwide.
