A2ZCDS.com Releases 23 New Products in April While Revamping Older Products for Brick and Mortar Distribution

A2ZCDS.com, the popular online library of historical and educational CD-ROMs and DVDs, released 23 new items last month while modifying existing products for in-store sales.

(PRWEB) May 11, 2005 -- The number of new products is lower than recent months – which included 54 new titles in March - but is evidence of the online retailers commitment to quality, said A2ZCDS founder Scott Reid.

Sometimes we have to scale back new product launches to make sure that our already popular products are well positioned in the marketplace," Reid said. In this case we have started a program to introduce our products into traditional retail outlets and we needed to devote some of our resources to making sure our existing products were well suited to that market."

Reid said that the company would much rather lower production slightly for a brief period of time if it meant that all of its products lived up to the companys reputation for over delivering on customer expectations.

We still plan to have 1,000 total titles on sale by the end of the year," Reid said. We will release 50 to 60 titles in May and plan to continue to do so every month for the rest of the year."

Aprils titles span a vast spectrum of varying interests covering such diverse topics as the history of advertising, the Korean War, and historical travel in the United States, Reid said.

There are also several remastered classic films on DVD including Border Vengeance (1935), Cheers for Miss Bishop (1941), Daughter of Horror (1955) and Terror in the Midnight Sun (1958), among others.

As we develop new products we will make sure that all of them are appropriate for both online and brick and mortar sales," Reid said. That means that we wont have to worry about similar delays in the future unless there is a major shift in the marketplace."

The move to brick and mortar sales is part of an ongoing A2ZCDS program of continual expansion of the number of sales and marketing channels to the marketplace to maximize revenue and exposure.
