The Directors of Nethercomm Corporation today elected Dr. Patrick Nunally to its Board of Directors as their Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

(PRWEB) May 9, 2005 -- The Directors of Nethercomm Corporation today elected Dr. Patrick Nunally to its Board of Directors as their Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Both appointments are effective June 1, 2005. Dr. Nunally is a nationally and internationally recognized entrepreneur who specializes in the development of innovative communication technologies and wireless ventures in the fast-growing broadband consumer markets.

Dr. Nunally is a pioneer of signal processing, wireless and processor technologies, many of which are the very foundations of numerous companies both public and private. Dr. Nunally has served as a board member or officer of a wide range of business ventures including Patriot Scientific Corporation, Aristo Corporation, Gruppe Telekom, and Wave Interactive Network (now Wave Systems). Dr. Nunally holds over 134 patents worldwide (predominantly wireless and signal processing) and has been honored as an IEEE/IAE fellow, recognized as the outstanding Engineer of the year by IEEE and HKN, and has received a formal citation by former President Bill Clinton for his efforts in furthering the United States technology base.

Nethercomm's proprietary Broadband-in-Gas (BiG) technology provides twice the data rate of fiber-optics at an installed cost which significantly lower than DSL. Broadband-in-Gas technology makes use of the isolated, unregulated spectrum contained within natural gas pipelines. Nethercomm's wireless Ultra Wideband signals travel inside the pipes from the local area node to the end-user through the underground pipeline pathway.

Nethercomm is going to make an incredible difference in peoples lives with its unique Broadband-in-Gas (BiG) technologies and is defining a new era of low-cost alternatives to cable video, phone and data services", said Dr. Patrick Nunally. He went on to say, Nethercomms portfolio of patents encompasses the fundamental subterranean broadband communications".

Nethercomms Broadband-in-Gas (BiG) provides an unmatched opportunity for Natural Gas and Cable/Broadband Industry leaders to deliver unprecedented television, phone and data services. Nethercomm is collaborating with key Natural Gas Distribution and Broadband industry leaders to carry enormous amounts of data through pipes instead of over the air (with constraints and interference), to give every end user unlimited access to content and services far above and beyond that which has been available to date.
