(PRWEB) May 13, 2005 -- Publisher Quality Words In Print announces the release of the second Ivory Tower Mystery by award-winning author David D. Nolta, who has been dubbed literary master of the Mystery/Suspense genre" by the Midwest Book Review. In this highly anticipated sequel to his debut mystery Grave Circle"(a finalist for the Foreword Magazine Best Mystery Award), Nolta brings back Hiawatha and Antigone Musing--the popular siblings, professors, and part-time sleuths--for an unexpectedly perilous tour of the sprawling English estate Lostlindens".

The curtain rises on the grand Lostlindens homestead where Hiawatha has escorted a group of American college students to view a priceless Shakespearean relic. From the moment of their arrival at the great house, things go very wrong very fast. Confronted with a double homicide, Hiawatha desperately calls in his sister, Antigone, for help. Together, in this mystery that offers the perfect marriage of the academic and country house genres, Hi and Tig unravel the fascinating tangles that link the various temporary and long-term inhabitants of Lostlindens, dabbling in history, romance, and subterfuge along the way.

In Lostlindens", which has been given a five bolt" (highest) rating in the New Mystery Reader, David D. Nolta sustains the sumptuous style of the first Ivory Tower Mystery, Grave Circle", embellishing the strange and suspenseful story with witty and original insights into such topics as academic and social pretension, romantic love, and the strange traits that make it possible and impossible for humans to coexist. The result is as amusing as it is absorbing: a lively—and deadly—romp.

David D. Nolta was born in Detroit, Michigan. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and English Literature from The University of Michigan, where he won several Hopwood Awards for Poetry and Essay Writing. He received an MA in English Literature from The University of Chicago, and a PhD in the History of Art from Yale University. He has been the recipient of Kress, Fulbright, and Mellon fellowships, and has taught art history and literature at Yale and at Massachusetts College of Art, where he is currently Professor of Critical Studies.
