A new Web site, ThanksForYourService.org, features a virtual Wall of Thanks where anyone can post messages and pictures that express their appreciation to America's troops. A portion of the sales of products through the Web site's "Thanks Store" goes toward a scholarship fund.

Edgemont, NY (PRWEB) May 24, 2005 -- A new Web site—ThanksForYourService.org—was launched today featuring a powerful virtual Wall of Thanks where everyone, regardless of their politics and without charge, can post messages in their own words or with pictures expressing their appreciation to our troops by saying Thanks for your service." These words have a special meaning to every service man and woman and to their families. President Bush recently used this phrase in his surprise Thanksgiving Day visit to the troops in Iraq.

This site is intended to give us all an opportunity to make a personal statement of thanks—which I feel is much more important and meaningful than even saying 'I support the troops'," said John Aslanian, one of the co-founders of the Web site.

The Wall of Thanks is intended to stand permanently in tribute and to continue to say Thanks for your service" to every American veteran and fallen hero. Any individual can write a message that will appear on the Wall and be searchable by name, state, hometown, zip code or key word, so that service men and women can find messages from our nation's leaders, relatives, friends and neighbors.

Specially designed free eCards can also be sent directly to service men and women and their families.

Sales of products through the Web site's Thanks Store" (all of which are made in the United States) such as wristbands and T-shirts, will help the Web site achieve its goals. In addition, a substantial portion of the price of every item sold will go directly to support charities which provide scholarships to the children of disabled or fallen service men and women or otherwise benefit those we thank.

The site is sponsored by Month2Month.com, a leading eCard Web site that has contributed substantial resources to launch ThanksForYourService.org. Mr. Aslanian said, We are also seeking major corporate sponsors to help us get the word out rapidly and build toward our ambitious goal of 100 million messages on the Wall." The Web site was founded in early 2005 with the mission of utilizing the Internet to make it possible for individuals to express thanks to our troops for their service to our country.
