Company Will Meet Growing Demand for New Hardware Products and Embedded Software Solutions

Fremont, CA / London (PRWEB) May 24, 2005 -- U4EA Technologies, the leading multi-service network embedded software provider, today announced that the company is preparing for rapid growth by strengthening its management team and expanding its facilities in Fremont, California. The expansion is due to growing customer and partner demand for its integrated access devices (IAD) that enable service providers to offer carrier-class voice over IP (VoIP) services to enterprise customers. Infonetics, an international market research and consulting firm covering the data networking and telecommunications industries, estimates that North American voice over IP service revenue topped $1.3 billion in 2004, and is expected to soar 1,431% to $19.9 billion by 2009.

U4EA has appointed Perry Teevens as its vice president of sales and business development and Doug Cross as its vice president of hardware engineering. U4EA has also recently recruited a number of engineers to its Fremont facility, to meet growth for its products that support VoIP in multi-service networks.

To meet the demands of its global customers and partners, U4EA Technologies continues to broaden its U.S. leadership and operations teams," said Columb Harrington, chief executive officer of U4EA Technologies. Our investment and expansion in personnel and facilities in California signifies our continued commitment to meet the significant and growing requirement for VoIP service provider solutions."

Perry Teevens will lead U4EAs worldwide sales and business development program. He brings more than 15 years of telecommunications and IP network experience at leading firms including Radvision, Intel, VideoServer and MCI, among others.

Doug Cross will help launch U4EAs new product line of access devices. With more than 25 years in hardware development, Dougs experience in hardware design and manufacturing will enable U4EA Technologies to better support OEM customers with competitive products that meet the needs of today's carrier-class equipment vendors.

U4EAs product line of IADs is engineered for current and next-generation network requirements, enabling the seamless migration to IP multimedia services and fixed-mobile convergence. At the core of these network devices is U4EAs multi-service QoS software. It is an advanced suite of embeddable software modules, designed for easy integration into existing or new network products to provide a complete, fully featured QoS solution to enable the true convergence of voice, data and wireless simultaneously.
