Hatboro, PA (PRWEB) May 26, 2005 -- Refinery, a top-25 interactive agency, today announced that it has named Gerry McGoldrick Senior Vice President of Search Engine Services. McGoldrick is the former president and co-founder of directMASS, a leading Search Engine Marketing (SEM”) firm recently acquired by Refinery. The move marks the continued growth of Refinerys search practice. It is also an indication of a larger industry consolidation trend, where stand alone search engine marketing firms are becoming less common as they fold into full-service interactive agencies.

McGoldrick brings seven years of search engine marketing experience working with Fortune 500 companies. As co-founder of directMASS, he managed the companys daily operations and business development. Active in various industry associations, McGoldrick is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including Adtech and iMEDIA and contributes to numerous interactive industry and vertical publications.

Search is integral to the overall interactive marketing process and Gerry gives us a great asset in that space,” said Andrew Sullivan, Refinery CEO. We are thrilled to have someone with his talent and experience on our team as we deepen our search practice and continue to grow our business.”

From everything Ive seen, heard, and experienced, this is a company that is positioned for tremendous success,” said McGoldrick. I look forward to being an integral part of the Refinery team as we build on the strong search practice and overall business already in place.”

Prior to founding directMASS, McGoldrick worked as vice president of media services and corporate development with Insight Interactive Group. He has also served as media director with i-Frontier.
