Photographer Charles L. Inglefield has won Grand Prize in BetterPhoto.com 50th monthly photography contest.
Redmond, WA (PRWEB) May 27, 2005 -- Photographer Charles L. Inglefield has won Grand Prize for April in the prestigious photography contest sponsored by BetterPhoto.com, the site's founder, Jim Miotke, announced Wednesday.
The April contest was a special occasion: the Web site's 50th monthly contest. "This is really amazing," said Miotke. "In the beginning, our only goal was to have enough entries to call it a contest. Now, we get over 18000 thousand entries each month. The contest's success has surpassed our wildest expectations!"
More than 18600 photographs were submitted in April to the online photography contest, which attracted contestants from around the world and featured 10 separate categories. Charles L. Inglefield's image, "Dusk", garnered top honors after being submitted in the "Details and Macro" contest category.
