The LandVoyage.com weather tool was created using direct feeds from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service. The National Weather Service provides public access to observed weather conditions for about 1,800 locations across the continental United States. LandVoyage.com also uses the National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) to generate accurate five day forecasts.
"The National Digital Forecast Database provides powerful capabilities for companies and individuals to combine datasets and tailor products to support their decision making needs," said Glenn Austin, NOAA's National Weather Service Digital Services Program Manager.
LandVoyage.com subscribers are able to view aerial photos, satellite images and USGS topographic maps of anywhere in the continental United States. While viewing maps and imagery online, subscribers can quickly and easily use the new LandVoyage.com weather tool to display current conditions and a local forecast.

Current condition observations are updated hourly and display temperature, wind speed and direction, relative humidity, air pressure, visibility, dew point, heat index and wind chill. The local forecast will display the high and low temperature as well as the chance of precipitation for the next five days.
