Music & Motion Dance offers "Elements" in the Gardens

Music & Motion Dance productions will be performing selected excerpts form their new dance work "Elements" at Chanticleer Garden in Wayne, PA on Friday, June 3rd, 2005 from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

(PRWEB) June 1, 2005 -- Set to premiere at the Philly Fringe & Live Arts Festival in September 2005, "Elements" is new dance work that explores the four elements of antiquity - earth, water, air and fire. A dazzling abstract piece, "Elements" features striking choreography in a kaleidoscope of movement and creativity drawn from these ancient elements. Each element is portrayed with a mixture of dance styles ranging from classical ballet to modern, lyrical, hip-hop, gymnastics and acrobatic dance. "Elements" – an artistic vision joining together the roots of our planet, of our spirits and of each other.

On Friday, June 3rd from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM, Music & Motion will be offering selected excepts at various locations throughout the 35 acres at Chanticleer, A Pleasure Garden located at 786 Church Road, Wayne, PA. The performance is free to the public with admission to the gardens, which is $5.00 per adult (16 and over) and under 16 admission is free.

The performance at Chanticleer is an experimental format for Music & Motion in which both the audience and the environment will continually be changing during the course of the evening. Dance pieces have been chosen to specifically blend in with the wildly diverse garden offerings and scenic beauty. This strolling program will offer guests a mixture of scents and sounds, colors and textures and movement.

Music & Motion is a group of pre-professional dancers ages 14 - 20 who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in dance. Our mission is to empower young people through the arts and dance to build self-esteem and inspire creative self-expression and community action.

Featured Dancers for this performance are: Maddie Breslin, Nicole DeHalian, Stacey Folks, Christina Heupel, Kristen Konski, Brittany LaCava, Sam Law, Kate Lubenetski, Christina Picariello, Andrea Piovane, Lynley Schaffer, Noelle Tolbert and Monica Zukowski.
