2-Time Grammy nominated Beethoven's WIG Plans Summer Concerts in Nevada, Colorado and California

Live 'Beethoven's Wig' Concerts Feature Creator Richard Perlmutter, Vocalists and Orchestras, Performing Zany Sing Along Symphonies"

(PRWEB) May 2, 2005 -- Beethoven's Wig, the wildly popular, twice Grammy Award nominated CD series, comes to life with concerts planned in Nevada, Colorado and California this summer. Beethovens Wig creator Richard Perlmutter will be joined by his outstanding group of featured vocalists to create a zany Sing-Along Symphony" experience for all ages. The shows are scheduled as follows:

- July 11, 7:00 p.m., Reno, NV with the Reno Philharmonic, Wingfield Amphitheater, Arlington at the Truckee River
- August 9, 2 shows: 11:00 a.m., 5:30 p.m., Steamboat Springs, CO
Strings in the Mountains Music Festival, Strings Music Tent, 900 Strings Road
- August 17, 7:00 p.m., Pasadena, CA The Levitt Pavilion, Memorial Park
- September 11, 11:00 a.m., Topanga, CA Theatricum Botanicum, 1419 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd.

Beethovens Wig is the ideal blend of highbrow and hijinks, lunacy and learning. The concerts include whimsical renditions of a familiar classical pieces by the most beloved composers including Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Verdi, Brahms, Schubert, Chopin, Strauss and Dvorak. The songs provide lyrical and musical hooks about the composition or composer that help listeners remember each composer and piece, providing a fun foundation for classical music that will last a lifetime.

Beethovens Wig and Beethovens Wig 2 are quite possibly the most-awarded childrens recordings ever released, having won 27 national awards for the two CDs.
