All Day Summer Camp - Orange County Musical Theatre Summer Camp – Additional Weeks Added Due to Popular Demand!

Center Stage @ The Performers Academy has opened additional weeks for this summers musical theatre camp program. July 11-15, July 18-26, July 25-29, August 1 –5, and August 8 - 12

(PRWEB) June 17, 2005 -- Each week students will cast, stage and perform for family and friends a new musical – such as Grease, Annie, Mama Mia and much more, complete with costumes and choreography.

The response to this camp has been absolutely amazing” says Tracey Abbott, camp director. Parents are enrolling their children and the children are telling their friends about this so, of course, they want to come to!”

In addition to learning an adapted version of a musical in one week, they campers will also get to experience singing lessons with the vocal coach, plus hip hop lessons with Jose De La Cruz, fresh from The Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Here Jose taught people like Natalie Portman and Brook Shields. He choreographed videos for Pink, and worked with many famous rock bands during the Family Value Tour”.

Camp is an all day venture, starting with an early drop off at 8:30 AM. The campers will be provided with an early morning breakfast of bagels and muffins and juice. The day will proceed with casting, block, and learning lines, dances, and songs. In addition, campers can select ancillary activities like arts and crafts, yoga, or cardio boxing for an hour during the day.

Tracy Abbott is the absolute best at musical theatre productions,” says Natalie Costa, owner of The Performers Academy. We just finished performing Grease Lightening to three sold-out performances at the Don Cribb Theatre. The performances were so amazing, we are already casting our next production NEXT” – a comedic play about the trials and tribulations of the entertainment industry. Children will be cast as movie directors, producers, casting directors, agents, and or course acting hopefuls”.
