Ritz Carlton Employees Take Over A Bed and Breakfast in Newport, RI To Offer A Complete Newport, RI Getaway That Includes Lobster Dinner, Mansion & Harbor Cruise Tickets

Two Ritz Carlton employees get married and decide to take over a Newport, RI bed and breakfast inn. As the new Newport inn keepers of the Marshall Slocum Guest House, guests will be treated like the Ritz," which is something that no other Newport, RI hotel or Inns can provide in hospitality.

(PRWEB) June 21, 2005 -- Innkeepers, Mark and Dana Spring met while working at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. It is at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel that they discovered their mutual dream of opening up a Bed and Breakfast in Newport, RI.

Having grown up at a Bed and Breakfast Inn on Nantucket Island for fifteen years, Dana knew from an early age that the hospitality field was a natural career path for her. After studying at Endicott College and receiving a major in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Dana moved on to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston where she focused on Guest Services and Sales.

Before owning a Newport, RI hotel and inn, she worked as a Tourism Sales Manager for the European hotel company Le Meridien gaining extensive experience in worldly travel and hotel sales.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Mark obtained a position in Guest Services at the Cliffside Inn Bed and Breakfast in Newport, RI and was promoted to Food and Beverage Manager. During his five years of employment at the Inn, Mark attended Johnson and Wales University where he majored in Hotel/Restaurant management. After working in a Newport hotel and inn, Mark was hired by the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston to manage In-Room Dining, Honor Bar, and their famed Afternoon Tea Service. Mark's final position before owning a Newport bed and breakfast inn was as a Concierge Manager for luxury condominiums managed by Barkan Management, a leading property management firm in Boston.

As innkeepers, their goal is to provide the finest service and amenities throughout the Newport, RI hotel experience. Mark & Dana hope to use their experience to make a luxury vacation a tradition to return.
