IHRDC Announces 16 New e-Learning Certificate Programs in Oil and Gas Technology

Boston-based International Human Resources Development Corporation (IHRDC) announced today that it has released 16 new Certificate Programs through its IHRDC Online e-Learning platform. Each new program carries between two and three graduate credits.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- These new programs offer flexible, focused learning in six different areas of Exploration and Production Technology: Petroleum Reservoir Management; Reservoir Description and Modeling; Formation Evaluation Methods; Applied Petrophysics; Drilling Engineering and Operations; and Production Engineering and Operations.

We developed these new programs in order to serve the needs of busy energy professionals who are seeking advanced training that is affordable, flexible and within reach," explained Theresa Donohue, Manager of IHRDC Online.

As with IHRDC Onlines five-credit Certificate Programs, they may be taken as stand-alone" offerings or as part of a post-graduate diploma in Upstream Petroleum Management. Up to 15 credits may be applied for transfer to the On-Line Master of Engineering in Oil and Gas Engineering Management degree offered by the World Campus of The Pennsylvania State University.

With the release of the latest programs, professionals may now earn Certificates in the following areas: Reservoir Rock and Fluid Properties, Reservoir Performance, Reservoir Characterization, Well Test Planning and Development, Open Hole Logging Methods, Well Log Interpretation, Subsurface Mapping, Reservoir Simulation, Improved Recovery Methods, Reservoir Management of Mature Fields, Well Planning and Design, Drilling Operations, Well Completion and Workover Operations, Producing Well Performance, Well Stimulation and Sand Control, and Surface Production Operations. For learners who desire more comprehensive programs, IHRDC Online continues to offer its five-credit graduate programs in Formation Evaluation, Reservoir Engineering Practices, Drilling & Well Completion Practices and Production & Operating Practices. Programs in Upstream Petroleum Technology are also available for non-technical personnel.
