The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) publishes and distributes aeronautical charts and flight information publications through the National Aeronautical Charting Office (NACO). LandVoyage.com has acquired and processed the entire collection of digital raster charts including all of the Sectional Charts as well as the Terminal Area Charts.
Sectional Charts are available for the entire continental United States and are the primary aeronautical charts in use today. The aeronautical information on Sectional Charts includes visual and radio aids to navigation, airports, controlled airspace, restricted areas, obstructions, and related data. Terminal Area Charts depict the airspace around 28 major airports designated as Class B airspace. The information found on these charts, while similar to that found on Sectional Charts, is shown in much more detail because of the larger scale.
LandVoyage.com receives automatic updates of the aeronautical charts directly from the NACO every 28 days. The aeronautical charts available for LandVoyage.com are for visual aid purposes only and are therefore not recommended for navigation.
The new aeronautical charts can be used with the existing nationwide LandVoyage.com data library, including aerial photos, satellite images, USGS topographic maps, FEMA flood maps and BLM public land maps. LandVoyage.com subscribers also have access to unique drawing and measuring tools in order to customize maps.
