The Coming Trend of Consolidation Between Ad Agencies, InterActive Marketing Firms and Search Engine Optimization and Marketing Companies (SEO / SEM)

InterActive Advertising Agencies are now realizing that without owning or at least partnering with an SEO / SEM firm, the chances of them successfully keeping a client happy are greatly diminished.

(PRWEB) June 29, 2005 -- The Search Engine Optimization industry now faces the possibility that our clients might one day be our boss.

As we involve ourselves more and more with the ad agencies day to day affairs with SEO and SEM, we realize that the days of being independent are slowly vanishing as our current larger partners continue to solicit us to become part of their staff.

The Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing Industry is less than a decade old, but growing at a VERY rapid pace, generally much faster than the InterActive Marketing Agency or the Advertising firms that contract them out. Yooter InterActive ( http://www.yooter.com ) for example is growing in the double digits per month.

How long it will take the ad agencies to notice this trend will depend on how fast they react to the changing landscape of the marketing world.

The amount of business being done on Google, Yahoo and MSN is so large, it is only a matter of time before the marketing firms realize that they cannot afford not to own the SEO and SEM infrastructure in-house or at a bare minimum partner with a totally dedicated SEO / SEM firm.

The reason InterActive Marketing firms are purchasing dedicated SEO and SEM firms is because those types of firms focus only on one narrow aspect of the marketing world, abit a very powerful aspect. When the InterActive marketing firm purchases the dedicated SEO / SEM firm they are not purchasing duplicate assets, such as multiple graphic designers to sit next to the 20 they already have in house. They are buying exactly what they need and no more. It's far more efficient than buying a firm that has too much overlap between already owned assets.

The industry trend is strongly moving towards mergers and acquisitions and we feel that this will continue to move at a far more rapid pace in the next few months as larger InterActive Marketing firms and Ad Agencies partner or purchase SEO / SEM firms. The trend is virtually inevitable to partner or purchase the SEO / SEM firm the alternative is for the InterActive Marketing agency to be forced to share the client with an SEO company. As it stands now ,the client will have no other choice if they want to be visible in the search engines.

If our industry prediction is correct (and we strongly feel it is), these firms will continue to either partner or merge at a rapid pace for the rest of 2005 going into 2006.
