Entrigue Systems, Inc. today announced Script Start, a new logon script processor.

Atlanta (PRWEB) June 29, 2005 -- Entrigue Systems, Inc., a provider of IT consulting services, today announced Script Start an innovative new logon script processor that significantly simplifies desktop management for network administrators.

Script Start allows network administrators to centrally and remotely control and customize client machines during user logon, decreasing administrative time and improving total cost of ownership (TCO). Script Start allows IT staff to quickly and easily manage desktop clients including mapping drives, installing printers, configuring Outlook profiles, modifying environment variables, adjusting internet proxy settings, and customizing client machines during user logon.

"Entrigue Systems has developed a unique and new product that will allow network administrators to reduce the time spent on client administration in half, allowing them to monitor the network and support critical issues that arise," said Derek Duke, Director, Information Technology, Blimpie International. "Script Start is a great solution for both novice and expert administrators, providing an easy to use graphical web interface with no scripting required."

Based on the KiXtart freeware scripting language, Script Start delivers an extensive set of configuration modules that accommodate almost all routine client configuration tasks. All Script Start configuration is done through a graphical Web interface with no scripting is involved. In addition, the solution is installed and the server and does not require software loaded on client machines.

"For years, we have been deploying logon scripts on client networks saving network administrators significant time and cost. Our clients have routinely requested the capability to augment their logon scripts internally, without having to learn a scripting language," said Jon McDonald, CEO and founder, Entrigue Systems. "Script Start is the result of our years of knowledge and experience developing logon scripts distilled into an easy to use system."

Unlike many solutions, Script Start does not require multiple client licenses but it is licensed per domain controller to deliver significant cost savings. Script Start supports multiple platforms including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Terminal Server, Citrix® MetaFrame®, and SAMBA.
