American Poet, Bryant H. McGill, Honored in the 2005 Inaugural Edition of the Cambridge Blue Book

American Poet, Bryant McGill, has been selected from a world-wide cast of influential individuals of note, as one of only 4000 persons to have their biographies included in the prestigious 2005 inaugural edition of the Cambridge Blue Book.

(PRWEB) June 15, 2005 -- Bryant Harrison McGill, the American Poet, has received official notification that he has been selected from a world-wide cast of influential individuals of note, as one of only 4,000 persons to have their biographies included in the prestigious 2005 inaugural edition of the Cambridge Blue Book.

The Cambridge Blue Book, which is published by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England, is a compilation of biographies representing a small selection of significant individuals of note in the world today. The IBC accurately highlights the achievements of these important people to a world-wide audience of academics and researchers who use the information for individual or scholarly research.

McGill is an American poet who was educated by the protégé of W.H. Auden, arguably one of the greatest poets of the 20th century, and by the eminent naturalist and intellectual, seven-time Pulitzer Prize nominee and Emmy award winner, Dr. Allen W. Eckert. McGill's poetic technique was also nurtured and shaped for nearly a decade by American Academy of Arts and Letters inductee and Editor of the world famous Paris Review literary journal, George Plimpton. McGill is the editor and author of the award-winning McGill English Dictionary of Rhyme, which is used by tens-of-thousands of writers, educators, students, aspiring-poets and songwriters from over one hundred countries, and which stands as the world's most extensive rhyming reference ever created in the history of the English language.

The IBC has been publishing biographical references of the highest and most informative caliber for over 40 years. Copies of these references are held in university and civic libraries, research institutes and in media centers around the globe, and enjoy a hard-earned reputation for accuracy.
