Ill Crew Universal Returns - The Worlds Greatest HipHop Organization is Back and Ready to Take the HipHop Entertainment Industry by Storm

The greatest Hip Hop collective is back to serve as the Intensive Care Unit of Hip Hop once more. ICU is determined to restore balance to Hip Hop culture and secure an accurate documentation of Hip Hop culture's progression.

(PRWEB) July 1, 2005 -- This is to inform you about the reemergence of Ill Crew Universal. As you may recall, Ill Crew Universal (ICU) was the largest Hip-Hop organization in the world, with more than 50,000 members worldwide. ICU gained the respect of the Hip-Hop nation and had both the attention of the mainstream media (MTV, Billboard, Rap Sheet, The Source, Vibe, etc) and many recognized Hip-Hop artists of the time, including Xzibit, Gang Starr, X-Clan, The Alkaholiks, Jurassic 5, Black Eyed Peas, A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, UMCs, Paris, Hieroglyphics, The Coup, to name a few.

ICU began its journey in the Hip-Hop world in 1995. By the summer of 1996, ICU had the leading Hip-Hop website on the Internet and gained worldwide notoriety. In fact, ICU helped to create the emergence of Hip-Hop on the Internet through its members. By the year 1999, ICU had over 50,000 members and had released 7 compilations of ICU artists material. The growth of ICU exceeded the expectations of ICU leadership. By the forth quarter of 1999, ICU closed its doors to new members. Due to excessively rapid growth and success of ICU, we felt it was in the best interest of the organization, and the public at large, to go on an indefinite hiatus until we could bring forth our vision when the time called for it. That time is now! ICU is announcing our return to the Hip-Hop world. ICU leadership spent the past 5 years focusing on independent projects, while keeping a low profile in regards to the organization. We have reorganized our effort, added exceptional talent to ICU leadership, and are prepared to take on the Hip-Hop world once again!

New Ill Crew Universal projects include:
1. Summer 2005 release of a new ICU compilation album featuring HipHop artists from around the world.

2. HipHop Artist education and resource programs intended to aid independent artists in the creation, distribution, exposure and promotion of their work.

3. The official Hip Hop Encyclopedia presented by Ill Crew University. This project is our effort to properly document Hip Hop history as told by the HipHop community. Please visit
http://www.hiphopculture.com for more information.

4. Ill Crew Universal membership program which offers services, information and resources to people who wish to ACTIVELY participate in the empowerment of authentic HipHop culture.
