Using a patented process, both photo and buckle are protected and preserved by epoxy.

West Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 12, 2005 -- BeltBucklePictures.com announces its unique belt buckles featuring color photos and images. Using a patented process of applying a durable and thick coat of epoxy resin, the buckle and photograph are encapsulated and preserved. Buckles are available in two sizes featuring either stock photography or custom images and photos. wolfbeltbuckle.JPG

The idea behind BeltBucklePictures.com was born in 1981, when inventor Rayford C. Hubbard was inspired to invent his own process in order to create beautiful, custom belt buckles. Borrowing from a method used to preserve wood with durable and clear epoxy resin, plus a few ingenious ideas of along the way, Mr. Hubbard has patented a process to present and preserve photos unlike any other.

A light bulb went off in my head and I was inspired to create a metal buckle with a retainer lip or edge; the buckle could be painted, a photograph inserted into it and then protected and preserved with epoxy resin. The rest is history.
"The other custom belt buckles I saw were crudely cut and pasted on just a flat, square metal surface," Mr. Hubbard explained. "A light bulb went off in my head and I was inspired to create a metal buckle with a retainer lip or edge; the buckle could be painted, a photograph inserted into it and then protected and preserved with epoxy resin. The rest is history."

Though a seemingly easy process, preserving the photos proved to be a daunting task. The procedure has now been perfected and patented and is covered by domestic and international patents. The one simple idea has turned into quite a business, with an independent shop and Web site now available.

The stock photos available on the site are expanding every day, and anyone can wear them—the custom buckles do not have an age or gender limit. Any image file or picture can be turned into a belt buckle, complete with a personalized message superimposed over or on the photograph. In addition, BeltBucklePictures.com can custom design belt buckles for business advertising needs featuring logos, product shots, decals, business cards or personal messages. In this unique format, both company information and an image of the actual product may be depicted.

Mr. Hubbard added, "This simple idea has metamorphosed into a successful business, and our custom belt buckles are sold worldwide for their aesthetic beauty and for their unique ability to display an idea, product, logo or special photo."
