Fine art photographer Charlie Morey presents Digital Yosemite, an exhibition comprised of images he captured with his Nikon digital camera as a Yosemite Renaissance Artist-in-Residence earlier this year. Los Angeles' Infusion Gallery will host the August 2-27 exhibition and an artist's reception on August 11, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

(PRWEB) July 10, 2005 -- Fine art photographer Charlie Morey will present Digital Yosemite, an exhibition comprised of images he captured with his Nikon digital camera as a Yosemite Renaissance Artist-in-Residence earlier this year.

Infusion Gallery, a private art gallery with 8,000 square feet of exhibition space on downtown Los Angeles' Gallery Row, will host the August 2-27 event. The artist's reception will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Infusion Gallery is located at 828 South Main Street, Los Angeles, and the reception is scheduled in conjunction with the monthly Downtown Art Walk, held on the second Thursday of each month. Parking is available immediately adjacent to the gallery.

Morey won the Artist-in-Residence award when he submitted images in a juried competition in 2004 and was selected to receive one month's free lodging in California's Yosemite National Park anytime during 2005. He chose to spend two weeks there in February to sample winter's affects on the High Sierra and another two weeks in May to witness the arrival of spring. Yosemite Renaissance, a non-profit organization for the support of the arts of Yosemite, provides six to eight Artist-in-Residence grants per year to deserving artists.

"Living and working in the footsteps of the masters of nature photography like Ansel Adams and a host of Yosemite specialists was a joy and an honor," says Morey. "Now I'm excited about bringing this new digital version of the work to art galleries across the U.S."
