An Ohio filmmaker gets ready for battle.
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) July 10, 2005 -- Ohio filmmaker Peter John Ross (Sonnyboo Productions) suits up for battle in the independent film world. Ross, an award-winning filmmaker and a member of the IndieTalk (www.indietalk.com) filmmaking community, has tapped into the World War II reenactment community to make his feature film Horrors of War possible.
On Saturday, July 16th, World War II re-enactors from all over the Midwest will gather at a private residence in West Jefferson, Ohio, for the film shoot. With them they will bring authentic tents, jeeps, tanks, and other props that will help make the movie as accurate as possible within the budget constraints of an independent film.
Weve tried to do something fairly original. Weve combined the X-Files and Band of Brothers," said Ross. There will be a lot of action, but with a science fiction twist. The re-enactors bring with them an authenticity to ground our story in some kind of reality."
Peter John Ross was able to utilize the many online resources that IndieTalk has to offer to help him with the pre-production, as well as the production of the film. The online community allows filmmakers to post cast and crew ads, and has a very popular message board area where filmmakers can network or chat.

Video and television rights for Horrors of War were pre-sold in 8 countries at the Cannes Film Festival and Market in May, and additional sales on the final movie are expected this November at the American Film Market in Santa Monica, California.
