Gator writes "Though to some Ed Bentley might sound like a new artist, he has been around for many years. His Mother and Father were both performers. He teamed up with his two older brothers, to enter music industry. This new CD "Here We Go Again!" is a mixture of some original music and some old time favorites. You will notice the influence of Johnny Cash, Lee Hazelwood, and Carl Lee Perkins. If you like Country Rockabilly, this CD is going to knock your socks off.
BUFFALO, NY (PRWEB) July,14 2005 The story goes like this...Ed Bentley was browsing the internet, found his name among those listed on the Rockabilly Hall of Fame website, and inquired by e-mail if this could possibly be him? (After all, he HAD made a few pretty good rockabilly recordings in the '60's) Shortly thereafter, he was informed that "YES, this is you, could you please send us a bio and some photos?" - and was promptly inducted, right up there with his Heros, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Buddy Holly.
To celebrate his recent induction, this Rockabilly Hall of Famer has released a brand new CD - "Here We Go Again" - a collection of some original tunes and some older rockabilly & boogie remakes, which was recorded at Sessions Recording Studio in Buffalo, NY & released on the Rockabilly Hall of Fame Label. Ed is getting some good reviews for his covers of the 50's Ersel Hickey song, " Bluebirds Over the Mountain" and the Carl Perkins classic, "Matchbox". He has also penned some "new" 50's sounding songs like "Rock A Boogie Baby" and "Slap Happy Boogie Band from Tennesee". Check out his music and bio at http://www.edbentleymusic.com
Says Bob Timmers, founder of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, "After we found him to be the 'real deal' he was brought into the fold. These veterans of rockabilly music need to have their stories told. That is our purpose and it has great rewards, especially when cats like Ed are still giggin' and recordin'."
Having been away from the music for 30+ years (He finally had to find a day gig in insurance), Ed is quite suprised and inspired by his new found sucess."I thought it was over but as long as folks are out there listening, we might as well have some fun". On August 7th, 2005 he has a CD release show at the Sportmans Tavern, in Buffalo, NY.
