Predictions Software, the leading provider of yield analysis tools, today announced support for Windows (XP, WIN 2000) for the EYES and related yield analysis programs, Unix and Linux symmetrical multi-processing which brings near linear scaling, and a Cadence Virtuoso interface that enables critical area to be generated within the layout editor.

Santa Clara, CA, Calif. (PRWEB) July 13, 2005 -- Predictions Software, the leading provider of yield analysis tools, today announced support for Windows (XP, WIN 2000) for the EYES and related yield analysis programs, Unix and Linux symmetrical multi-processing which brings near linear scaling, and a Cadence Virtuoso interface that enables critical area to be generated within the layout editor. Traditionally yield improvement has been left to the people in the fab. However, there are often major opportunities to change the layout so that defects are less likely to cause faults.

Predictions Software's industry leading yield prediction tool EYES has been in use in the USA, Europe and Asia for more than 5 years. The EYES tool uses the design layout and fabrication defect data to make very accurate yield predictions that are reliably better than 1%, as reported by customers. The EYES tool uses a patented sampling technique to make it possible to quickly extract the critical areas of state-of-the-art designs. Yield reports are then generated in simple text, HTML with chip maps and graphs, or in a spreadsheet format.

"EYES is unique in the world of DFM as it can be downloaded, configured, and effectively evaluated with a minimum amount of effort? noted Dan Nenni, vice president of sales and marketing at Predictions. Predictions is focused on the challenges of yield optimization, we are experts in the field, and welcome the new opportunities our free evaluation program and new software release will bring forward.
