Hincapie Wins First Ever Tour De France Stage In Most Successful Racing Year

Called one of the best riders in cycling by Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie is showing his true grit and talent as he wins the Tours 15th stage on the toughest mountain stage of the race. How is he doing it?

(PRWEB) July 20, 2005 -- Continuing his most successful year to date, Hincapie does it again winning the toughest mountain stage of the Tour De France. This win is made even more prestigious following on the heels of a grueling Stage 14 over a mountain too steep to categorize the day before.

This win and his great show at the Tour de France is preceded by a win in February at the harrowing 118-mile Kuume-Brussels-Kuume race in snow, sleet and subzero temperature and a second place at Paris Roubaix Classic in April, and all while staying injury free.

So, how is Hincapie doing it? Of the many facets to his training program is his attention to nutrition. He pays very close attention to this as he does daily battle with his body both during training and races as he plans for maximum strength, endurance and recovery.

For the past two and a half years, I have used BioBuilde™ as a part of my nutritional program," reports George Hincapie. Since that time, my racing has been the best of my career. One thing I can say for sure about BioBuilde: It really works!"

Racing at a professional level in international competition like the Tour De France places extreme demands on ones body. To try to compete without attention to the best nutrition would be impossible."

I take BioBuilde and I can recommend it highly."

Jeff Spencer, Discovery Team Trainer and trainer for the former US Postal Team had this to say about BioBuilde after last years win, BioBuilde played an important role in the victory at the Tour de France. We used it to accelerate muscle rebuilding and repair after each days race and to maintain maximum team muscle mass for the 22 days. It works perfectly."

BioBuilde is a protein substitute made up of a patented essential amino acid profile that the body can use to make proteins which support muscle recovery, endurance and strength. BioBuilde can build up body protein three times more, and six to twelve times faster in comparison with meat, fish, or poultry. BioBuilde can also build up body protein over five times more, and six to twelve times faster in comparison with whey, casein or soy protein. This benefit is why Hincapie uses BioBuilde as a part of his overall nutritional program and one of the reasons why he has been there every year, helping his captain, Lance Armstrong, win the yellow jersey, and has his own win in Stage 15.

As we all sit on the edge of our chairs to see what happens next and cheer for Hincapie and Armstrong to win the Tour for the 7th time, there is talk that George will move into Armstrongs team leader position when Armstrong retires this year. Hincapie is clearly demonstrating competence and true team spirit.
